Bagasse Electricity Potential of Conventional Sugarcane Factories

چکیده

Sugar industries have huge potential to contribute the sustainable energy transition through electricity generation and production of biofuels. Sugar-producing countries generate volumes sugarcane bagasse as a byproduct production. In this study, performance an operating traditional sugar factory is analyzed for export potential. The study presents characteristics modern factories. challenges facing mill are inefficient boilers, less efficient back pressure steam turbines, wasteful use turbine drives prime movers instead electric mills cane knives. Others intensive rollers diffusers which low requirements. It was demonstrated that cogeneration quite significant but currently underutilized. factories can make contribution towards mitigation greenhouse gas emission supply green public grid. showed uses very old boilers aged over 39 years contributes poor capacity. Modernization required increase capacity investment in new high-pressure replacement (BPSB) with more condensing extraction turbines (CEST), reduction consumption by electrification knife among other measures. This 3,000 TCD invest 15 MW power plant based on current average indicators if throughput overall close design parameters.

Prospects of Cellulosic Ethanol from Sugarcane Bagasse

AGRICULTURAL residues such as grain straws and corn stover are abundant, readily available biomass feedstocks for the production of next generation biofuels, with collection and transport costs being a major component of their cost. Sugarcane bagasse is thus an especially attractive biomass feedstock in that it is an agricultural residue already present in large quantities at sugar and ethanol ...

Fast Pyrolysis Characteristics of Sugarcane Bagasse Hemicellulose

The pyrolysis characteristics of sugarcane bagasse hemicellulose were investigated using a tubular furnace. The total gas yield and the releasing behavior of the main gas products were measured by GC analysis. The liquid products were analyzed by GC-MS and ion chromatography. The chars were investigated by elemental analysis and proximate analysis. The volatile remaining in the char extracted b...

The Microbiology of the Bagasse of Sugarcane

. The contamination of the sugarcane starts during its growing stage especially when the nlicroflower is rapidly developed after the harvest and during the warellousing of the bagasse. The types of microorganisms also unite during this process. Firstly, the bacteria and tlre yeasts predominate and the fungi are few. The bacteria continue to predominate during the warehousing of the humid mass o...

Biochar from anaerobically digested sugarcane bagasse.

This study was designed to investigate the effect of anaerobic digestion on biochar produced from sugarcane bagasse. Sugarcane bagasse was anaerobically digested to produce methane. The digested residue and fresh bagasse was pyrolyzed separately into biochar at 600 degrees C in nitrogen environment. The digested bagasse biochar (DBC) and undigested bagasse biochar (BC) were characterized to det...
